Welcome
We are delighted to launch CCC-ParaSolS: our exciting project to form a community in the UK of academic and industrial practitioners, joined together by a shared interest in particulate solids simulations such as (but not exclusively) the discrete element method.
Community expansion
If you are seeing this post, then you have heard about CCC-ParaSolS. That is a great start, and we hope that you will proceed to become part of the community.
We are currently trying to promote this community as widely as possible in the UK. We would appreciate your help in spreading the word to others. Please let colleagues at your own institution and elsewhere know about CCC-ParaSolS if they have any interest in particulate solids simulations.
Future plans
Once an initial community has been formed (which can continue to grow throughout the project), we will host a webinar to explain our vision, the proposed plans for CCC-ParaSolS, and provide a forum for all members to contribute their ideas and ask questions.
The first hybrid (both in-person and online participation possible) event is anticipated to take place in Edinburgh in May 2025. Stay tuned for further details of this event.
